Today is “Chau Yat”, not sure of the spelling.  That means we go vegetarian for at least one meal to accomodate dh’s mom.  Plus, we like to eat egetarian once in a while.  When there’s a fullmoon or new moon, my mil is a vegetarian for that day.  That came from her belief in Buddhism and Toaism mixed together.  Usually, we go to Nanking Vegetarian Restaurant for lunch when these special days fall on Sat or Sun.  But today we wanted to try Nature’s.  Haven’t been there for awhile.  Nanking’s was getting too salty and everythng tasted too much like soybean, though they do have good dishes.

We went early at noon b/c dh and I didn’t have time for brkfst cause we took the kids to the Brickfields temple earlier.  Thank goodness, we went early cause by 1:30, so many people arrived for lunch.  All the dishes were very good.  The yam roll as appetizer was not a favorite.  I especially liked the spicy sambal eggplant w/” prawns” and the “sotong”(squid) dish.  I love the sweet potato greens stirfired with blackbeans.  I was the only one who ordered  brown rice. I gave dh half of it.  One small rice bowl is not enough for him.   We also had very good soybean milk.
